Persons who believe they are at risk of partner violence if their current sexual partner receives an anonymous notification should kindly seek other options of partner notification.

What is HIV?

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks cells that help the body fight infection, making a person more vulnerable to other infections and diseases.

How does HIV spread?

HIV can be found in body fluids of an infected person, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids and breast milk and hence, spread through contact with these bodily fluids. It is important to note that if left untreated, HIV can lead to the development of AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) which is the to the most advanced stages of the HIV infection.
